It's quite hard to find websites online where you can blatantly promote your website or products for free. Wikipedia isn't allowed anything promotional. You will get flamed if you spam Digg or post spammy comments to other websites.

One option is to produce ultra exciting products like the iPhone, that will send the entire online world into a frenzy. Simple! Unfortunately for my clients, their products aren't quite as exciting as the iPhone. They sell sinks. And waste disposals.

Introducing bla.st

We decided to make bla.st, a free visual directory and advertising network. We actively encourage anyone to blatantly promote their stuff on it totally free. Did we mention it's free?

bla.st is much more than just a useless collection of ads. It's categorised, so the ads are turned from the scourge of society, into something people actually want to see.

bla.st isn't really anything new. Online directories have been around for donkey's years, but none of them look as good, or are as easy to browse as bla.st. And sure plenty of other advertising sites exist, but most are novelties and are not really useful to users. Paying for Advertising is another option, but contextual advertising can be tricky and expensive.

While bla.st can be used totally free, advertisers can optionally pay for better card position. The cards paying the most per day are placed on the front page and the top of their selected categories. This means the few who pay support the entire site, and allow the free service to operate.

If you have something to promote give it a whirl and add a card. The absolute worst that can happen is you'll get some visitors to your site for free.
